UN Pension Fund and DeVote have jointly presented concept of decentralized services to highly dispersed international communities
UN Pension Fund Blockchain operates in 190 countries and pays salaries to 90,000 people in crypto. It shows tremendous potential for blockchain as decentralised ecosystem for financial and other services all over the globe - this topic was central at Web3, Smart Cities & Digital Assets for State & Local Governance conference.
In further development of this thesis DeVote presented its on-chain voting system - truly anonymous, highly transparent and secure system, capable serving millions of voters, with very low operational costs. DeVote is also planning to use decentralised identities, particularly those of pensioners, to facilitate voters authorization for respective elections - combination of such technologies provides new level of voting services.
